Cavendish Banana is known as the “king of bananas,” accounting for approximately 50% of global banana production. It is the most widely exported banana variety thanks to its ease of cultivation, long shelf life, and excellent transportability. Cavendish bananas are highly popular in major markets such as the United States, the European Union, Japan and China.
Scientific Name: Musa acuminata (AAA group)
Origin: Native to Southeast Asia and widely cultivated in tropical regions including Vietnam, the Philippines, Ecuador, and Costa Rica.
Appearance: Long and slender fruit with thin skin, green when unripe and turning bright yellow when ripe. The flesh is soft, sweet, and mildly aromatic.
Growing Conditions:

Requires loose, nutrient-rich, and well-drained soil
